it's only the early months of 2013 and i have been feeling the pinch when it comes to money! few upcoming travelling trips in this year etc etc. payments here and there. due to the hot weather, decided to replace the old aircon with a new one before may kicks in, since it's definitely gonna be much more unbearable. without much research, just got ourselves a mitsubishi aircon on the spot. i sooo hope it's a good buy!

due to my education loan, havent been able to give much to my family so this is the first expensive contribution after so many years. i've been feeling the responsibility at the start of this year but it's good that i'm able to return them some of the better living conditions my parents had tried to give us when we were younger.. hopefully in the next few years, i'll be able to do some basic renovations or bring them overseas.
it's true that the cycle has now changed. growing up comes with a price, that is the huge return in responsibility in exchange for some freedom and decision making. and now it's us taking care of the old and the younger generations. for me, it will be my parents and nephew. i believe almost everyone at my age are feeling the same way more or less, coming from an average family.
it's a slow growing process with different phase of life, our life focus and priority slowly changes. it's going through it that you get to know what the advice from the older people meant. sometimes, i wonder how did our parents did it, but come to think of it, houses and cars weren't that expensive as it is now. so comparison can't be made like that too. this year would be the start of making home a better place to stay, well, hopefully.

it's been awhile since birthdays has been like any other days but this year.. the feeling was even stronger than before. it was a pretty adventurous nights with my favourites and i thank god for all the good friends i have till now. all the birthday treats and celebrations, i'm thankful that they remembered. made a point to celebrate with me. thankful to god for the 29th years of life, for letting me see the world till now.
i guess after nearly reaching to the new decade of life, things seems to be rather "the same" kinda feeling. things are not as exciting as before, nothing really interests me anymore. i would rather spend time with some close friends, exercising, staying home and (forced) to look after my lil nephew when he comes. a new phase of life, in a way. the same me with different perspective.
i have been asked today, on what is my passion. and i am surprised to realise that i can't think of any too concrete as in the past. now, just taking as life comes and making the best out of it. do you call that as someone who doesn't have ambitions and dreams? not really, just that i choose not to give myself unnecessary pressure if i can. or perhaps i have decided to submit to god and let him make the best decision on how i should live life. i am glad that i can finally feel the internal peace in life, right now. the rest didn't matter anymore, somehow.
last but not least, the other important factor to me is, humility. met too many people who are too arrogrant, too insecure. just hope i'll not become one of them. it's scary when one loses oneself, and live in the expectation of others. i live for myself, not for others. resolution for the year will to continue to be myself and not to conform to the wrong principles and perspective that people have. be open to feedback, if any!
happy 29th to me.

i have been on the job for about a month plus.. still relatively new but the work is starting to pile up. i'm glad there are many learning opportunities that i can look forward to learning from all the mentors.. just hope i'm learning fast enough, able to absorb like a sponge too~!
apart from that, its the start to keeping fit and healthy again. good luck to me for a lean body hopefully by the end of the year!
